Position Summary
Tewa Women United’s Grants and Compliance Director (G&C Director) will work under the supervision of the Executive Director (ED) and closely with the Finance Director and Associate Director. The G&C Director will be responsible for administrative activities, grant writing and reporting for all grants awarded to Tewa Women United. This will include coordinating financial and narrative reporting to funders, supporting contracts with subrecipients, monitoring finance and help support Program Managers in tracking expenses related to the funding sources and helping generating relevant finance reports. In addition, the G&C Director will be responsible for preparation of grant proposals, including support with generating budgets, collecting documentation from staff and collaborators, and providing administrative support for grant submissions in a timely and accurate manner.
Primary Duties
Grant Management for awarded funds:
- Provide support to the Program Manager with timely expense tracking, requests to the Finance Director for generation of finance reports and format for such reports, preparing and uploading submission of grant reports
- Support accounting and finance activities including reviewing invoices, monitoring payments to sub-contracts and stakeholders, accounting and expense reporting, reviewing monthly expenses, supporting budget monitoring, and supporting annual financial audits as needed
- Support the execution of contracts, including grant agreements, service agreements, and sub-recipient agreements
- Maintain, accurately track and complete electronic and hard copies of grant and contract files
- Support the Executive and Associate Director in efforts and activities to maintain continuous organizational compliance as well as any identified quality improvement initiatives
- Gather data, records, reports, and other information relevant to grant initiatives
- Maintain strict confidentiality of business related information
- Support grant administration communication and maintain access to grant portals
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve any problems related to grant administration

Support Grant Administration for applications:
- Provide support in the coordination and communication to compile and format documentation required for grant proposals
- Support grant submissions including the preparation of administrative sections of grant proposal, coordinating all required steps of the submission, and carrying out submission of the proposal
- Maintain electronic files and track grant submission and results including via portals as applicable
- Under the guidance of the Finance Director, support Grant Administration communications, maintain access to grant portals and points of contact for communications related to grant administration

Program Team support:
Under the guidance of the Associate Director, work closely with the Organizational Consultant(s) and Program Managers to support day-to-day activities of program teams as needed
- Assist with budget monitoring for all grant awards by helping coordinating monthly meetings with all Program Managers and Finance Director
- Maintain close communication with the Associate Director and Program Managers to ensure timely and accurate reporting, and achievement of milestones and work plan deliverables

Qualifications
- Required: Master’s Degree + 2 year relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years relevant experience; or 6+ years relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years of grant administration experience including managing a federal grant.

Position Summary
The Health Equity and Policy Coordinator under the Reproductive Justice (RJ) Program will
promote a reproductive justice framework to increase choices and access to the full spectrum of
reproductive healthcare for people in New Mexico. This role’s primary focus will be on advocacy, research, and developing strategies as needed for the RJ Program.
Primary Duties
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies for policies that promote health equity in
Northern New Mexico - Research health disparities and their underlying causes and utilize and present information to inform policy recommendations
- Create and disseminate high-quality reports and additional materials for programmatic work
- Collaborating with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups to develop and implement policies that address health inequities
- Providing education and training on health equity and policy issues to healthcare
professionals, policymakers, and community members - Analyzing health data to identify disparities in health outcomes and access to care and using this information to inform policy decisions
- In collaboration with the RJ team, develop and implement classes to address health
disparities and promote health equity - Engage and involve communities to understand healthcare needs and priorities and ensure their voices are represented in policy decisions
- Quarterly evaluation of the effectiveness of health equity policies and programs and make

Position Summary
The Family Support Services Coordinator will be responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing programming that supports families in various aspects of their lives. This role involves coordinating family support services and developing classes that uplift parents and caregivers. This role requires a solid commitment to reproductive justice principles, cultural competence, and collaboration with community partners.
Primary Duties
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals and families accessing reproductive health services, including counseling, advocacy, and referrals.
- Conduct intake assessments to understand clients’ needs and preferences and develop personalized support plans accordingly
- Serve as a resource to connect clients with adequate resources and professional support.
- Offer emotional support through support groups conducted by professionals once a week.
- Conducts guidance to clients navigating reproductive health decisions and challenges by developing an organized booklet of resources for participants
- Supports Health Equity and Policy Coordinator by sharing policies and initiatives that promote reproductive justice and address systemic barriers to access and equity
- Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in reproductive health and justice to inform the RJ Program Manager and RJ team.
- Maintains confidentiality of individuals seen at TWU and through the RJ Program
Additional Duties
- Updates and maintains weekly Google Calendar and productivity tools with program activities.
- Completes monthly evaluation snapshots to provide an overall reflection of the project activities, accomplishments, and challenges
- Provides project updates, data, and reports in collaboration with the RJ Program Manager and Grant & Compliance Director as needed

Environmental Justice Advocacy Coordinator –

Description
The Environmental Justice (EJ) Coordinator will have primary responsibility and oversight for coordinating and implementing projects and/or programming dealing with environmental justice issues (i.e., land, air, and water). The Coordinator will work closely with cross-functional teams on research projects and regularly interact with members of the community, including staff, volunteers, and partner organizations from business, media, and community leadership to government officials, allies, and others. The EJ Coordinator will serve as the primary supervisor for contractors and volunteers. The coordinator will ensure that the EJ program engages in local, national, and international dialogue and community organizing to build powerful partnerships that support a shared vision of climate and environmental justice that protects Mother Earth and Father Sky.
Primary Duties
- Lead and/or co-lead efforts to assess environmental justice nexuses and opportunities to improve justice and equity in TWU’s work in collaboration with Executive Leadership, the EJ program team, TWU staff, and subject matter experts
- Communicates frequently with the EJ Program Manager in order to coordinate deliverables and develop EJ project implementation plans and strategies that include goals and metrics
- Create, present, and facilitate EJ project workshops, activities/events, and trainings from a land-based and “Woman as the First Environment” perspective
- Supervises, delegate tasks, and maintains timely communications with the project facilitators, supporting contractor(s) and volunteers within the coordinator’s project area
- Conduct, collaborate, and present research and evaluation initiatives in northern New Mexico by actively gathering, comparing, analyzing, and preparing educational materials, talking points, and briefings on EJ issues
- Document and maintain records of all EJ activities carried out while serving in this capacity with TWU
- Help the EJ program manager develop, deliver, and coordinate training and other educational opportunities/learning pathways for staff and programs that advance 1) understanding of EJ within the context of their area of work and 2) ability to apply an EJ lens to their work

- Attend in-person and virtual events and community meetings as a TWU representative to build and maintain supportive relationships with key decision makers and community members/organizations, including local, municipal, state, national, and tribal entities or advocacy groups
- Host, attend, and participate in coalition meetings, public meetings, legislative sessions, and conferences related to EJ
- Participate in interviews as needed and write proposals for articles on environmental justice (i.e., water, air, and land)
- Actively coordinate and collaborate on community engagement efforts, including strategy development and implementation, with EJ staff or other TWU staff as needed

- Host, attend, and participate in campaign/protest events related to EJ
- Revise, edit, and ensure EJ outreach information is accurate, updated, and available for outreach events and TWU website on a regular basis, in collaboration with the TWU Communications Coordinator
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field (i.e Environmental Science, Environmental Biology, Environmental Justice, Environmental Management/studies, Natural Resources, Permaculture, Biology, Conservation, Toxicology, Hydrology, Agriculture, Forestry, Fire Science, Meteorology, Geography, Public Health, Sociology, Environmental Law, Public administration with an environmental emphasis, or a closely related field)
- OR a minimum of two (2) years’ training or work experience with environmental justice, civil rights, social justice within communities of color, tribes, immigrants, linguistically isolated communities, rural or low-income populations, and/or populations who experience environmental and/or health disparities,
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted, as long as it directly relates to the essential duties and responsibilities
- Experience in development, implementation, and ongoing program coordination/management

Environmental Justice Program Assistant –

The EJ program is seeking a program assistant who can be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, directing, and implementing of projects under the EJ program. This position will provide general office support and administrative assistance to all EJ program areas.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties

- Experience working with Native American communities/clientele, cultural sensitivity to the needs and distinct tribal and cultural ways of life, and willingness to complete cultural competency training and/or undoing racism training
