Juanita Nelson, LM, RM, CPM, is a mother, grandmother, midwife, educator, and artist who lives in Northwest New Mexico. She has been a practicing midwife for 47 years helping woman empower themselves through the process of birth. She is licensed in New Mexico, Registered in Colorado, and carries the Certified Professional Midwife designation. She is a practicing clinical herbalist and an award winning artist. She is an avid gardener and grows herbs at her home so that she can provide plant medicines to her clients that are organic and vital.
Juanita loves teaching about birth and all the various aspects from pre-conception counseling to postpartum challenges and milestones. She has taught childbirth classes for many years and has taught how to use herbs in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and childhood. She has been a preceptor to midwives in both the US and Mexico.
