The Circle of Security is a curriculum that was developed through 60+ years of research on attachment. This curriculum is about basic human development that all children need in order to be in a safe and healthy relationship with their caregivers. Caregivers are the first relationship that children have. This relationship will set the standard for all future relationships including friendships, professional, romantic, and their own parent/child relationship one day. Children naturally go “around the circle” all day, everyday, it is actually hidden in plain sight. Being able to recognize the circle, meet our children’s needs on the circle, and manage our own triggers and negative reactions, builds a strong relationship between parents and caregivers, also known as Secure Attachment.
This class will be held in person every Thursday from May 4 through June 22, 5:30 – 7 pm
*Participation in all 8 weeks required
*We kindly recommend no children are present in order to fully focus and engage in the training
