From now until July 16, we are in the public comment period for the draft Programatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) on Plutonium Pit Production. This PEIS was released as a result of a lawsuit brought on by Nuclear Watch NM, Savanna River Site Watch, Tri-Valley CAREs, and Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition.
In preparation, Tewa Women United and Concerned Citizens for Nuclear Safety (CCNS) is hosting a series of free community workshops that will explore different sections of the PEIS and help to draft comments.
This is the third in a series of three workshops. In this workshop, we’ll look at how the final LANL Site-Wide Environmental Impact Statement (SWEIS) relates to the PEIS.
