Mica Pottery with Saya Evelyn
Learn how to make mica pottery in this 6-class series with Saya Evelyn Naranjo from the Pueblo of San Ildefonso. She teaches from her heart as an advocate for ancestral knowledge and ways of being. Evelyn’s Tewa name is Than Povi, “SunFlower.” She is a proud descendent of renowned potter Maria Povi Kaa Martinez.
Who is invited: Native girls and femme ages 13-17, accompanied by a femme parent or guardian
All sessions are 10am – 12pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Session dates:
- June 16 and 17
- July 7 and 8
- July 14 and 15
