The Espanola Healing Foods Seed Library is one of our Environmental Justice’s key projects in the program’s food and seed sovereignty work. This seed home is housed at the Espanola Public Library, and is on a mission to provide open and free community access to locally-adapted, heirloom and organic seed for vegetables, herbs, medicinal plants, fruits, grains, native plants, dye plants, and fiber plants. At the beginning and end of each growing season, we “restock” the seed library with more seed ahead of the next planting season.
Join us Wednesday, December 13, and Friday, December 15, to lend a hand to this critical project as we process seed, fill seed packets, and fill our beautiful seed library with free seed for our neighbors and relatives.
All are welcome to lend a hand and learn about seeds at this free event!
Feel free to drop in; it also helps us if you can take a moment to fill out this form and let us know you plan to come: bit.ly/3sLEhDv
