Community members and garden supporters are welcome to join us at the Espanola Healing Foods Oasis for our monthly volunteer work day. These work days are an opportunity to lend a hand to the caretaking of the Healing Foods Oasis, and to learn more about our plants and growing practices. From 9 am – 12 pm we will have an open window of work, guided by TWU EJ staff and our EHFO garden caretakers.
We will provide water and light refreshments, as well as all tools needed. Volunteer work will vary upon the current needs of the plants and space, and can be tailored to individuals’ interests or limitations. There is something for everyone to learn and do!
HOW TO FIND THE GARDEN
The EHFO is located behind the Española City Hall, on the slope leading down to Valdez Park. Parking is available at the Española Public Library/Lucero Center lot, or on Vietnam Veterans Memorial Road adjacent to the park.
