The tritium venting operation at Los Alamos National Laboratory has been completed. Even though we didn’t succeed in blocking the release of radioactive tritium, we want to raise up that the strength of our voices pressured LANL and the NNSA to give a more thorough daily public report of the operation than they probably would have done otherwise. We are grateful to the work of all our colleagues in Communities for Clean Water who organized this education and advocacy effort over the past months and years.
Monday, October 6, TWU’s Ryan Ramaker will be at the Española Farmers Market from 10 am – 1 pm to share follow-up information on the tritium venting, including:
Who did it and why?
When did it happen and for how long?
Where can I learn more?
What can I do now?
What are the lasting impacts?
Testing if you are concerned you’ve been exposed to tritium
Look for Ryan’s table at the entrance of the Wildflower Garden. Hope to see you there!
