Prevention Education
Our culturally adapted gender-based violence prevention education for Indigenous youth emphasizes the concept of body sovereignty, fostering a deep connection to traditional values and respect for individual autonomy. By braiding Indigenous knowingness and Western knowledge with the needs of our youth, the curriculum builds an understanding of healthy relational-tivity rooted in a cultural context. Consent education is vital to Indigenous youth empowering themselves with the skills to navigate interpersonal dynamics while honoring their lifeways.
Our prevention classes are accessible to youth ages 11 – 24, and include:
- A’Gin Healthy Sexuality and Body Sovereignty
- Reimagining Healthy Masculinity
- Weaving Courage: All-Gender Healthy Relationaltivity
