Time to Be Counted!

As of August 24, only 26% of Rio Arriba County residents have completed the U.S. Census. If we aren’t counted we won’t get funding for essential services and we could lose a congressional seat.

2) Don’t Let the Census Deadline Be Shortened!

The Trump administration is attempting to end the census a month earlier than the October 31 deadline. If the census deadline is moved up, we won’t have the time to make sure everyone is counted.

Undercounting could lead to losing as much as $1 billion per year nationally in resources that our Tribes and communities rely on for healthcare, schools, roads, and other essential programs and services.

Let your member of Congress know that you expect them to keep their commitment to the October 31 census deadline — PLEASE CLICK HERE TO TAKE ACTION.
