Access for All

Tewa Women United partnered with Free Flow New Mexico to design and host our Period Pod, which had its grand opening on March 1, 2025. The Pod provides year-round free access to period products, ensuring that anyone can obtain them with complete anonymity.

Period Pods are similar to the Little Libraries you see in your community, but instead of books, the Pods are filled with period products. The main goal of the Period Pod Program is to make period products available to all, ensuring no one misses work, school, or any activity due to lack of access to menstrual materials. 

There are no forms to fill out or registration required, making it easy and hassle-free for individuals to access the products they need when they need them. Each Period Pod kit contains a one-month supply of period products. 

You are welcome to pick up supplies Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Tewa United Campus, 1003 E. Fairview Ln. Espanola, NM.

In addition to TWU’s Period Pod, you can also find pods at the Española Public Library, the Nambé Wellness Center, and the Pojoaque Wellness Center. There are also a number of Period Pods located in Santa Fe. We are grateful to Free Flow New Mexico for helping us to make this important project a reality!
